Overview
The Accounting Analyst compiles, classifies records, verifies, and maintains data, while performing a variety of general accounting tasks including accounts reconciliation and analysis.

Responsibilities
- Accounting oversight and preparation of monthly closings for accruals.
- Work closely with Account Payable team to maintain and analyze the necessary invoices and PO document to assist month end close
- Working closely with Branch Managers to reconcile inventory purchase records in CPR+
- Researches costs of lost or damaged inventory items
- Providing management with weekly reports specifying and comparing factors affecting cost and quantity variances
- Preparation of month-end accrual journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Performing general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
- Implement and work with Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
- Assisting with the annual audit process, including preparation of various audit support requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and equivalent experience/background with a minimum of 2 years of experience in finance/accounting support role
- Solid windows operating system experience or equivalent application systems experience
- SAP or Oracle knowledge preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven analytical skills
- Familiarity with cost accounting procedures desirable
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Ability to effectively set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment in fast paced and changing environment;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a positive professional attitude while completing time sensitive projects
- Ability to professionally document processes and procedures
- Team player focused on the goals and results of the team with a high level of initiative
- Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
- MBA or CPA is a plus
