JOB DESCRIPTION: Accounting Operations Manager
The Accounting Operations Manager serves a vital piece of the organization and will report to the President.
In this role, the Accounting Operations Manager will help oversee the financial transactions of The Harrison Group. The Accounting Operations Manager will supervise the Staff Accountant. They will also need to work with clients, coworkers, leadership, and vendor partners to resolve escalated issues. They will also be responsible for providing useful financial information to the company on an ongoing basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Process banking files with The Harrison Group’s bank, and comply with NACHA Guidelines
· Review, audit, and execute Accounts Payable
· Assist and consult in complex billing scenarios
· Review and manage the Accounts Receivable process on an ongoing basis
· Process adjustments for the core business team
· Resolve any outstanding ACH issues
· Process and track all financial data within QuickBooks Online
· Reconcile current bank accounts
· Track and report on the budget on an as needed basis

Experience
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, billing operations, or finance
· One or more years of supervisory or management experience
· Experience with ACH processing required
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required
· Experience with TPA systems
· Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
· Strong reconciliation skills
· Ability to manage confidential financial information
Knowledge of payroll laws, and federal and state laws and regulations preferred Experience in benefits management, customer service, an accounting-related field, or the healthcare TPA industry preferred
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field from a four-year college or university
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
Technical Skills:
· Microsoft Office proficiency
· Demonstrated experience working with QuickBooks Online
· Proficiency with and/or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems and software
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables and v-lookups)
Soft Skills:
· Highly organized and detail orientated
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to build productive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including executive leaders, founders, and long-tenured employees, while balancing business needs and organizational priorities
· Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
· Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems
· Experience operating effectively in entrepreneurial or family-owned business environments a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the workplace timely
· Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
· Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
· May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
Position Type and Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Upon a successful introductory period, employee may be offered a HYBRID schedule with 1 day work from home.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
