Role Overview
Savara is looking for an enthusiastic accounting candidate to manage all aspects of the Company’s revenue cycle and inventory accounting, including revenue accounting, financial reporting, gross-to-net analysis and ensuring compliance with ASC 606. Key duties include overseeing revenue-related processes including deductions, accruals for rebates and chargebacks, analyzing financial data to identify growth opportunities, collaborating with sales, marketing, and finance teams, and ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the calculation and recording of gross-to-net accruals (rebates, chargebacks, co-pays, returns, etc.)
- Ensure revenue recognition compliance with standards like ASC 606
- Prepare and reconcile revenue general ledger accounts
- Process revenue transactions, from billing to cash application
- Implement and maintain policies and technologies to streamline the revenue cycle
- Assist with inventory management in connection with sales activity
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including SOX and audit requirements
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Partner with Market Access, Commercial, FP&A, Sales, and Marketing teams to support revenue goals
- Collaborate with clinical and other departments to align documentation with billing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or higher, CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5-6 years of industry experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, auditing, and accounting principles, including ASC 606
- Experience with revenue-related processes like chargebacks, rebates, and returns
- Proficiency in ERP systems like NetSuite is required
- Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and budget management
- Experience in a regulated environment, with a strong understanding of compliance and internal controls
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various departments
- Experience with public accounting or SEC reporting requirements required
Work Schedule and Location
This role is US based and remote. Travel to Savara's US HQ near Philadelphia is required; other domestic or international travel may also be required. The ability to regularly attend meetings in US Eastern Time is required.

Savara’s compensation for this role will include a base salary, bonus, and equity. The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000.
