About the job
uniQure is dedicated to bringing innovative therapies or unmet medical needs to patients. In doing so each function in uniQure is directly or indirectly responsible for the lives of patients. This responsibility should be part of our day-to-day working life by (i) living up to high-quality standards and (ii) by recognizing the sense of urgency in areas of high medical need.
This newly created Senior Manager Revenue Controller role is a senior contributor and a business partner management role responsible for the integrity of revenue accounting in accordance with ASC606 (US Gaap) and IFRS 15 (IFRS) and the day-to-day accounts receivable operations of the commercial organization. This person owns the end-to-end accounting for the company’s gene therapy revenue transactions — and partners closely with the Inventory Controller of the global accounting team, the broader finance teams that include FP&A and financial reporting and the commercial organization (which includes Medical Affairs). In parallel, the role drives the global month-, quarter-, and year-end close, monitors and assist to manage the financial close review, balance sheet reconciliations of key revenue and receivable accounts, manages transfer pricing accounting stemming from the Transfer Pricing Models that deals with revenue, and supports the tax finance team on specific matters that may include the Dutch Innovation Box and VAT — all underpinning accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting primarily under US GAAP, with IFRS also applicable. This role is not responsible for the Dutch Innovation Box and VAT but requires close finance partnering due to the global interdependencies.
We are looking for an independent thinker who is solution-driven, with a strong desire to automate, does not create superfluous processes, and configure within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. This is a high-visibility role suited to a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a complex, regulated, fast-evolving gene therapy manufacturing environment.
