Reporting to and partnering with the UHC Capital and IT Finance Director, the Capital Finance Manager will play a key role as the financial advisor and strategic partner driving financial administration, budgeting/planning/forecasting, analysis/modeling, involvement in capital planning, etc. as well as helping with senior leadership reporting and decision support. The role will be an advisor to finance leadership responsible for evaluating and assisting with financial plans. The role will also be responsible for overseeing finance staff.
This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week at the 9700 Building in Minnetonka, MN.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategy
- This role will be responsible for helping to report consolidated financial plans associated with UHC’s Capital and assess performance against those plans
- Develop tools and processes to provide critical financial information to Senior UHC / UHG Leadership
- Engage with internal affiliates and controllers around issues and changes in the Capital Plan
- Provide strategic recommendations to Leadership based on financial analysis and projections
- SME for capital accounting and policy to support analyst/controller inquiries
- Financial and Operational Management
- Creating and reporting Forecasting & Budgeting for UnitedHealthcare Capital Plan, ensuring SG&A accuracy of the Budget, forecasts, and present financial narratives and metrics
- COTIQ UHC Reporting
- Quarterly forecast reporting
- MBR Reporting
- Work with UHC finance leadership to develop plans to achieve financial goals
- Partner with consolidation team to ensure accurate rainbow reporting for Capital
- Creating and reporting Forecasting & Budgeting for UnitedHealthcare Capital Plan, ensuring SG&A accuracy of the Budget, forecasts, and present financial narratives and metrics
- Team Management
- Mentor and develop a direct team of 1-3, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 5+ years of seasoned and mature leader
- Progressive finance experience
- Demonstrated ability to turn analysis into action
- Demonstrated ability to highlight issues/problems and convey complex thoughts in a clear, concise and timely manner both in written and oral form
- Proven effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with solid oral and written skills and a willingness to share information
- Proven collaborative and flexible style, with a solid service / servant leadership mentality
- Live in the state of Minnesota and have the ability to work in the Minnetonka office an average of four (4) days per week

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
