The Clinical Trial Finance Administrator works within the KUCC Clinical Research Finance Department and in collaboration with the Clinical Trials Office. This position works extensively with finance, budget analysts, clinical research and data coordinators, principal investigators, Health System and various stakeholders of KUCC in the building of calendars in accordance with budgets in the CRIS/VELOS Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) as well as validate accrued revenue accumulated through CTMS calendar entry. This position will be responsible for the ongoing support of the calendar and budget build functions.The University of Kansas Cancer Center (KUCC) is the region's only National Cancer Institute designated comprehensive cancer center where patients gain access to the most promising therapies, cutting-edge clinical trials and world class research.
Job Description:
Job Responsibilities
Build and configure electronic study calendars for clinical trial data capture in accordance with the terms of the protocol.
Update CRIS/VELOS protocol information as amendments occur to the protocol calendar/budget.
Use study contract and budget to setup rates and milestones in Clinical Trial Management System (Velos) to ensure accurate billing.
Perform system testing as directed and quality control of application functionality during application upgrades.
Assist the CRIS help desk to support current customers who encounter problems or have questions related to calendars.
Collaborate with direct supervisor, finance team, clinical research team, project manager, health system representatives, consultants and vendors to ensure overall completion of goals, schedules, and deadlines.
Assist the KUCC Research Information Technology and the CTO Clinical Systems Management teams in developing learning tools as they relate to calendar/ budget building tasks.
Stay up to date on all new and evolving institutional changes as they relate to policy, pricing, budgeting, etc. for clinical trial data captured in CTMS.
Update timepoints on study calendars to allow audit reports to be generated.
Work with Velos team to make improvements regarding study calendars.
Audit CTMS reports to validate milestones/accrued revenue.

Work Environment
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule after 6 months. Incumbent will work remotely and on campus based on a set departmental schedule based on management approval and must reside in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
Three years relevant work experience. Relevant education can be substituted on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors’ degree in relevant field of study (accounting, business, or life sciences)
Work Experience:
Experience working with a CTMS or financial data system in support of clinical research.
Experience providing technical support to customers.
Experience with study budgets, contracts and grant applications.
Familiarity of research billing operations for industry, institutional and national group research.
Experience analyzing and interpreting legal contracts/documents.

SalaryCompensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
