Your Mission: The Corporate Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyzing complex accounting transactions and reconciliations to support general ledger functions. This role provides accurate and timely financial information to management to facilitate informed decision-making and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The Corporate Accountant maintains financial data integrity, performs financial analyses, and supports specialized accounting functions such as budgeting, reporting, and audit preparation. This position works with minimal supervision and collaborates with internal departments, regulatory agencies, and external auditors to maintain the accuracy and reliability of Sun Health's financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting and Analysis
Record, review, and post complex accounting transactions in the financial system in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
Prepare detailed financial analyses and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial
Maintain and verify general ledger accounts and correct discrepancies as
Develop and maintain statistical, contractual, and other financial databases, ensuring accuracy and
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for assigned
Prepare supporting workpapers and documentation for audits, reviews, and compliance
Budgeting and Reporting
Support the preparation and administration of operating budgets, including gathering data, training department leaders, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion.
Provide financial models, analyses, and projections for management decision-making and strategic
Compile and present financial reports and summaries to management, auditors, and other stakeholders to satisfy organizational, policy, or regulatory requirements.
Serve as a technical resource to management and staff regarding financial systems, budgeting tools, and reporting
Process Improvement and Compliance
Identify opportunities for improvement in accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational
Assist in implementing process enhancements and automation initiatives to strengthen financial
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and established company
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with applicable
Perform all functions in accordance with company policies, procedures, and professional
Collaboration and Service Excellence
Partner with department managers to provide accurate financial data, guidance, and training on financial
Support the Finance Department with special projects, system updates, or audit preparations as
Provide excellent service to all internal and external customers by consistently demonstrating Sun Health's Six C's behaviors and maintaining professionalism in all
Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit finance.
Demonstrated experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reconciliation.
CPA certification or MBA preferred (or in active pursuit).
Experience with senior living or nonprofit organizations highly desirable.
Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
