Working closely with senior leadership, you will translate complex business dynamics into actionable insights that support growth, investment decisions, and operational excellence.

You will play a key role in modernizing FP&A processes, improving financial visibility, and supporting major initiatives including fundraising, acquisitions, and commercial transformation.

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will own critical financial planning, modeling, reporting, and strategic analysis initiatives. This role serves as a key partner to executive leadership by delivering rigorous insights, improving financial processes, and supporting high-impact business decisions.
- Lead corporate financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling across multiple revenue streams and business scenarios.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including three-statement models, scenario analyses, revenue forecasts, and operational performance models.
- Redesign and automate budgeting and forecasting processes by evaluating and implementing FP&A tools and leveraging AI solutions to improve efficiency.
- Use AI-powered tools to streamline financial modeling, reporting, data consolidation, and recurring analytical workflows.
- Provide executive leadership with financial insights related to pricing strategy, resource allocation, market expansion, product investments, and operational performance.
- Support fundraising activities through investor models, financial narratives, diligence materials, and board-level reporting.
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions by leading financial diligence, integration modeling, valuation analysis, and strategic assessments.
- Partner with accounting teams on revenue recognition, financial controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Own revenue analytics, including ARR reporting, bookings analysis, contract modeling, and sales operations reporting.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Product, Engineering, and People teams to improve financial visibility and business decision-making.
- Develop dashboards, reporting infrastructure, and processes that improve accuracy, transparency, and organizational alignment.
- Act as a trusted finance partner who brings analytical rigor, ownership, and proactive recommendations to leadership discussions.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a finance professional with strong analytical capabilities, experience in demanding financial environments, and a track record of building models, processes, and insights that influence business outcomes. They should be comfortable operating independently in a fast-changing environment and using technology to improve financial operations.
- 6–10+ years of progressive finance experience, including experience in high-accountability environments such as investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, specialty lending, or similar fields.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to independently build complex models and scenario analyses.
- Demonstrated experience automating budgeting and forecasting processes, implementing planning tools, and improving financial workflows.
- Strong proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms to accelerate analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
- Ability to quickly learn new industries, business models, and operational frameworks while delivering high-quality results.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
- Experience supporting fundraising, M&A activities, investor reporting, or strategic financial initiatives.
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics, revenue models, valuation concepts, and subscription-based business performance indicators.
- Knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606 for complex contracts.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial analysis into clear recommendations for executives and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare, life sciences, technology-enabled services, venture-backed companies, CPA/CFA/MBA credentials, or experience scaling financial systems.
