POSITION SUMMARY
Executive Director, Finance, is a key member of the Finance leadership team and ensures the accuracy of ECRI’s financial results, supports strategic decision making through financial analysis along with ensuring compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is in a critical position to help guide the direction and management of the Finance department.

Essential Functions:

Financial Planning & Analysis:
•
Lead the development and execution of annual operating plans, forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic plans across the organization.
•
Assist with continuous enhancement of financial reporting processes including refining of key performance indicators, standardizing data sources and integration of information from various systems for reporting automation.
•
Oversee timely, accurate monthly and intra-month internal and external reporting of financial data with key stakeholders including providing insights to executive leadership and lenders.
•
Conduct customer and market data analysis to inform financial decision-making around pricing and corporate development activities.
•
Partner with department leaders to develop and monitor budgets, implementing cost control measures to align with organizational goals.
•
Establish accurate and organized financial datasets to support reporting, forecasting, and operational decision making.
•
Serve as a key operational and financial partner supporting the CFO in mission to accelerate business growth through sound financial and operational analysis.

Accounting:
•
Oversee day-to-day operations of all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all processes with reconciliations.
•
Deliver timely, precise, and insightful financial reporting, producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that support informed decision-making.
•
Manage and consolidate financial operations across multiple entities, synthesizing data into cohesive reports for executive leadership and key stakeholders.
•
Lead coordination of audits and tax filings, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure seamless compliance.
•
Assist with the fiscal year end close process, and the timely completion of the financial statement, federal award reporting, 403(b) plan audits, as well as the preparation and submission of the IRS Form 990
•
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (i.e. sales tax, government reporting, IRS reporting).
•
Maintain and enforce accounting and governance policies and procedures to promote consistency across the finance team.
•
Analyze financial performance trends and provide actionable insights to support cost optimization, improve profitability, and support sustainable growth.
•
Provide cost accounting and margin analysis by contract, customer, department, etc.
•
Leadership:
•
Provide financial and operational insights to the CFO, supporting decision-making and long-term planning to advance organizational objectives.
•
Holds team members accountable for successful performance, ensuring clarity of goals, consistent feedback and timely coaching.

QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
•
10+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance, with a preference for candidates with deep expertise in the healthcare sector.
•
Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly assess business issues and develop course recommendations
•
Excellent presentation skills with ability to present complex issues to senior leadership in a meaningful and straightforward manner
•
Experience working in private equity, consulting or other fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that demands service, quality and presentation skills
•
Demonstrated ability to develop data analysis and business metrics
•
Proven ability to provide both management and leadership guidance for developing team
•
Willingness to lead work efforts by example and structure
•
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building financial operations for multiple entities within a single corporate structure, demonstrating agility in complex environments.

Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards, and healthcare-specific compliance regulations.

Experience with International and Non-profit accounting is considered a plus.
Education:
•
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Computer Skills:
•
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Advanced proficiency in ERPs, financial management tools with the ability to handle large-scale data entry and complex financial modeling.

Experience with accounts payable systems

Certifications and Licenses:

POSITION COMPENSATION
The salary range for new employees in this position is $147,053.57 - $169,111.61, based on background, experience, and skills. In addition, new employees in this position are eligible for all of our benefit offerings, including, but not limited to, health and welfare benefits, 403(B) retirement savings, and paid time off (PTO).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday. In addition, this position requires the individual to occasionally move about their workspace to access and inspect work-related materials, such as file cabinets with physical files and standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including, but not limited to, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone, as well as effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of audiences in written and oral form.
