Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch and Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. Each internship offers a meaningful experience and impactful projects you’ll be able to discuss with future employers. At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year.
Key Accountabilities
- Assistance with Regulatory Filings
- Assist in regulatory filings and analysis
- Ad Hoc Analysis
- Prepare reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies
- Financial analysis as requested by management
- Operational and Clerical Support
- Assist with general ledger entries
- Support processes related to claims expense and payment cycles
- Assist with bank reconciliations and data entry tasks
- Learn and work within multiple finance and accounting systems
Qualifications
- Current junior or senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Skills and Abilities
- Foundational understanding of accounting and financial principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to work with spreadsheets and financial data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High ethical standards and professionalism
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and good judgment
- Well‑organized, self‑directed, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Open to learning, asking questions, and contributing ideas related to process improvement
This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI.
The full salary grade for this position is $34,100 - $43,900. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
