Job Description

At MJH Life Sciences our success is measured by your success! If you set your standards high and want to contribute to a winning team, we’ll provide you with every opportunity to help grow our company and your career. Our associates come from all backgrounds, sharing one key quality: determination to succeed. We value being Service Focused, having a Passion for Winning, Innovation, Respect, Integrity, and Teamwork. Nothing means more to us than hiring people with these attributes. If you believe you’re right for the job, this is the place to prove it!

About MJH Life Sciences

MJH Life Sciences is the largest privately-held medical media company in North America, delivering trusted insights to healthcare professionals across oncology, specialty pharmacy, managed care, and dozens of other therapeutic areas. We're growing fast, and we're building a finance team to match that ambition.

The Opportunity

This isn't a seat-filler role. We're hiring a Junior Accountant who wants to become a future finance leader at MJH — someone who treats their first job out of college as the start of a career, not a checkpoint. You'll get real ownership early, exposure to senior leadership, and a clear path to grow into senior accounting, FP&A, and other advanced roles as you prove yourself.

If you want to clock in, clock out, and coast — this isn't the role. If you want to be the person your team can't imagine operating without three years from now, keep reading.

What You'll Do

Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals. Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate variances. Help maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP. Contribute to the preparation of internal financial reports and support external audit requests. Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements — we want your ideas, not just your data entry. Partner cross-functionally with business unit leaders to understand the "why" behind the numbers.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, conferred within the last 12 months. Strong academic record; CPA-eligible or actively pursuing CPA licensure is a significant plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel — pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and the ability to learn advanced functions quickly. Strong analytical mindset and genuine curiosity about how businesses operate. Excellent written and verbal communication — you can explain a variance to a non-finance manager without losing them. High attention to detail and personal accountability for your work.

Working knowledge of AI and desire to build further.

What Sets the Right Candidate Apart

You ask "why" before you ask "what." You finish things. You're comfortable being the most junior person in a room and still speaking up when you spot something off. You treat feedback as fuel. You'd rather be useful than impressive.

What We Offer

Competitive starting salary, performance bonus eligibility, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, CPA exam reimbursement and study support, and direct mentorship from senior finance leadership.

Compensation Range:

$65,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on qualifications. Eligible for annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for this position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Benefits Overview:

We’re proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Health insurance through Cigna (medical & dental)
  • Vision coverage through VSP
  • Pharmacy benefits through OptumRx
  • FSA, HSA, Dependent Care FSA, and Limited Purpose FSA options
  • 401(k) and Roth 401(k) with company match

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through NYLGBS
  • Fertility benefits through Progyny

  • Company-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
  • Voluntary Term Life & AD&D Insurance, plus Universal Life Insurance options
  • Supplemental Aflac coverage: Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
  • Discounts and rewards through BenefitHub

AI Capability Expectation

Candidates should be prepared to discuss their philosophy and track record on AI adoption in marketing leadership. This includes:

  • Vision for how AI should be embedded into a modern marketing organization
  • Specific ways AI has changed how you lead, plan, or execute marketing strategy
  • How you have built or are building AI capability and fluency across a team
  • Bonus: examples of AI-driven programs, frameworks, or organizational changes that improved marketing performance at scale
