A Brief Overview :
Leads the finance and contract compliance team by that carries out the end-to-end contract management processes, including contract drafting, negotiation, execution, and administration for the Federal Employee Program (FEP) lines of business. This colleague will be knowledgeable regarding finance operations and feel comfortable reading, interpreting, and making recommendations regarding the P&L statement. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to install contract management policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines to direct junior-level team members throughout contracting and finance processes.
What you will do:
- Contributes for top-level decision making regarding the resources and efforts of the finance and contract compliance team to effectively accomplish the company objectives.
- Allocates team project resources and responsibilities aimed to help achieve business unit information needs, objectives, and strategic initiatives.
- Identifies trends, patterns, and areas of improvement, and proposes actionable recommendations to optimize reporting strategy performance, drive growth, and achieve key goals.
- Checks contract milestones and obligations, ensuring timely performance and adherence to contractual terms.
- Inspects contract proposals, identifies risks, and proposes modifications to mitigate risks and ensure the successful delivery of contract terms.
- Evaluates opportunities for cost savings, performance improvements, and risk mitigation during contract negotiations.
- Consults with internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts and ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of contract management processes, working to identify and address improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Provides leadership in motivating team members to consistently accomplish finance and contract compliance goals and objectives.
- Coaches and mentors the Finance and Contract Compliance team on how to optimally utilize data, both internal and external, to generate actionable insights and optimize deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience within finance - specifically focused in financial reporting, determining cost, underwriting, or related experience
- Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
- Adept at understanding the business’ P&L statements and how to take action based on analysis and interpretation of the data
- Adept at collaboration and teamwork
- Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills
- Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
- Ability to assess operational and legal risk and provide recommendations to senior leadership on mitigating factors
- Ability to effectively operate in a matrixed environment and drive project completion and issue resolution across departments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous finance leadership in understanding financial terms and a P&L statement
- Previous experience in contract compliance
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred or the equivalent specialized training/relevant professional qualification. MBA preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
