Position Summary:

The Property & Entity Accountant manages standard full-cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of properties and management, therapy and staffing companies. This role is responsible for overseeing the general ledger, executing timely month-end close, and preparing accurate financial statements. Additionally, this individual will assist with other associated duties and projects as required.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Prepare quarterly financial statements ensuring certain balances agree with affiliated entities.

· Manage storage of lease documents including amendments and maintain summary of all relevant terms and other information.

· Assist with annual audits of HUD financed properties.

· Prepare staffing invoices weekly.

· Maintain summaries of historical assessed values, tax rates and real estate and personal property tax bills and assist with maintaining consultant relationship.

· Ensure data to complete personal property tax returns are provided to consultant and returns are completed accurately and filed in a timely manner.

· Monitor rent, real estate tax and related general ledger accounts actual to budget.

· Assist with budgeting.

· Stronge technical proficiency with GAAP specifically ensuring all real estate leases are maintained in strict compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.

· Prepare schedules as needed for Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports.

· Ensure all real estate tax and personal property tax bills are paid timely.

· Gather support for reimbursement from replacement reserves in a timely manner.

Requirements

  

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

· 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.

· Hands-on experience with ERP platforms. Sage Intacct a plus.

· Practical experience embedding Microsoft Copilot into daily functional workflow.

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with intermediate knowledge of MS Excel is required.

· Excellent communication skills; positive attitude and customer focused team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment.

· High accuracy with strong attention to detail.
