Athena Medical Management is in search of a self-directed and experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial and accounting-related functions. The Senior Accountant will work with Executive Management, Human Resources, Billing, and Revenue Cycle.
This position is responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting, month-end closeouts, annual reporting, and year-end duties including journal entries with class allocations, recording and running bi-weekly payroll for 150 employees, reconciling bank accounts and employee benefits/401K administration.
This role requires the ability to think and work independently but necessitates working in a team environment. HEALTHCARE industry experience preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage accounts payable and receivables
- Complete assigned general ledger and inter-company transactions, and perform bank reconciliations
- Run bi-weekly payroll
- 401 K Administration
- Benefits Reconciliation
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities as assigned, including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent time management skills and accountability
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting Master's Degree preferred
- Ability to work with others in an open environment
- Flexible with business changing needs
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise, Paylocity, and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with running payroll for a large multi-state company with over 100 employees
- Experience and knowledge of accounting, budgeting, income taxes, cost control, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Experience with 401k administration
Benefits:
- Health Insurance: Employer pays 75% of employee health insurance premium
- Paid Time Off: 80 hours for 1st and 2nd year; 120 hours 3rd year+
- Retirement: 401k - 4% employer-match
- Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
