Job Description
Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant position will be integral to accounting operations and will contribute to the monthly and quarterly accounting close process. Responsibilities include:

Prepare timely and accurate journal entries for month-end and quarter-end close, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation. This includes but is not limited to R&D accruals, fixed asset depreciation, and investment accounting.

Conduct quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger maintenance.

Assist with internal and external auditor requests.

Assist in SOX compliance efforts.

Manage user access for financial systems such as Concur, Coupa, or similar platforms.

Support the evaluation and improvement of financial policies and procedures.

Participate in process improvements, financial system enhancements, and special projects as needed, including performing administrative tasks to support the team.

Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business with 2-3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or auditing role.

Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills.

Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.

Innovative, team-player with high energy for our rapidly growing company environment.
Preferred Skills:

Big 4 public accounting firm and CPA license.

Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Experience working in a public company environment.

Experience with NetSuite and Coupa preferred.
