You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting within a high-volume accounting structure, partnering closely with finance and business leaders across the organization. The position involves hands-on ownership of month-end close activities, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis in a dynamic and evolving setting. You will contribute to strengthening internal controls and improving accounting processes to support scalability. Accountabilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries for balance sheet and expense accounts as part of the monthly close process
  • Perform and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolution of all reconciling items
  • Lead preparation and review of monthly accruals, including operating expenses, vendor liabilities, and recurring entries
  • Partner with Accounts Payable teams to resolve discrepancies and improve process efficiency and internal controls
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide actionable insights on spending trends and financial performance
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entry review and accounting deliverable coordination
  • Support audit processes including planning, interim, and year-end requirements
  • Assist with M&A-related accounting activities and special projects as needed
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability of accounting operations
  • Perform ad hoc financial and account analysis to support business decision-making
  • Cross-train and provide backup support to other members of the accounting team

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in high-volume or large corporate environments
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
  • Experience with accrual accounting, general ledger processes, and month-end close cycles
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with NetSuite experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Accounts Payable workflows and tools such as Coupa is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and strong proficiency with Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Self-starter with strong ownership, reliability, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in high transaction volume environments
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when needed
