You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting within a high-volume accounting structure, partnering closely with finance and business leaders across the organization. The position involves hands-on ownership of month-end close activities, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis in a dynamic and evolving setting. You will contribute to strengthening internal controls and improving accounting processes to support scalability. This is a highly visible role where your analytical skills and attention to detail will have a direct impact on organizational performance. \n- Prepare and post journal entries for balance sheet and expense accounts as part of the monthly close process
- Perform and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolution of all reconciling items
- Lead preparation and review of monthly accruals, including operating expenses, vendor liabilities, and recurring entries
- Partner with Accounts Payable teams to resolve discrepancies and improve process efficiency and internal controls
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide actionable insights on spending trends and financial performance
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entry review and accounting deliverable coordination
- Support audit processes including planning, interim, and year-end requirements
- Assist with M&A-related accounting activities and special projects as needed
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability of accounting operations
- Perform ad hoc financial and account analysis to support business decision-making
- Cross-train and provide backup support to other members of the accounting team
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in high-volume or large corporate environments
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Experience with accrual accounting, general ledger processes, and month-end close cycles
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with NetSuite experience preferred
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable workflows and tools such as Coupa is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and strong proficiency with Google Sheets
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Self-starter with strong ownership, reliability, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in high transaction volume environments
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when needed
