Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time Accountant II.

Pay rate for this role is $75,000 to $80,000.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-time 40-hours

Summary of position: Assist the CFO in management and administration of GL accounting, financial reporting internal/external, and financial analysis in the Finance Department.

 

Qualifications and abilities

  • Education 
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business degree. 
    • Combination of education and experience will be considered. 
    • Five to ten years of progressive experience including staff supervision is required.  
    • Experience in the health care industry specifically Federally Qualified Health Centers or non-profit preferred.  

 

  • Qualifications
    • Demonstrate ability to mentor, train and counsel employees to create a cohesive and effective finance team. 
    • Comprehensive understanding of popular productivity software such as Microsoft Office and general ledger software is required, and knowledge of database technology is desired. 
    • Must be accurate, organized and able to work with a team, with initiative, and complete tasks in a timely manner.

 

General Duties include but are not limited to

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statement packages.
  • Review the monthly financial statements' accuracy, noting significant variances and obtaining explanations for them.
  • Reconciling bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records. 
  • Assist with annual budget creation, revision, uploading, and monitoring. 
  • Reviews the status of the Operating Budget and report their findings to the management.
  • Manage accounting and payroll applications.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits. 
    • Other duties as assigned
