QualificationsPosition Title: Senior Accountant, Lead Location: Colorado Springs, CO  Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: 40 hours per week   Job Summary: The Lead Senior Accountant performs a wide variety of accounting functions, including preparation and review journal entries for the general ledger. This position will allocate revenue and expenses for Diversus Health to be consolidated into the monthly financial statements using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The Lead Senior Accountant role will analyze financial statements for accuracy and investigate any discrepancies.    Essential Functions:   Prepare journal entries to record revenues, expenses, and allocations for the monthly financial statements in a timely manner, identifying discrepancies and potential audit concerns.  Update and maintain multiple prepaid accounts and prepare monthly expense allocations.  Maintain accurate listing of leased assets and record quarterly activity per FASB ASC 842 lease standard.  Perform monthly review of general ledger and prepare expense reclassification journal entries.  Participates in internal audit of projects, for grants and other activities.  Assist with analysis of expenses for Block Grant and Crisis Team.  The environment at Diversus Health is fluid and roles and responsibilities may be altered to accommodate changing business conditions and objectives.  Employees may be asked to perform duties that are outside of specific work that is listed within their job descriptions. This position may require you to work standard hours, as well as flexible hours both before and after standard hours, and may include work in excess of 40 hours in a work week as necessary to the position’s needs.  Mobility Clause: Based on business need, this position may be needed to work and/or travel on a temporary basis at any premises which the agency currently has or may subsequently acquire or at any premises at which it may from time to time provide services.  This position may require that the employee travel with or without notice as needed within the scope of the position responsibility.       Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting  Minimum 4 years professional experience in Accounting  CPA designation a plus  Experience with State fiscal rules and policies a plus.  Proficiency of Microsoft Office  Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and goals.  Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with both internal and external clients.  Skill in auditing financial transactions for accuracy.  Demonstrated discretion with confidential patient and financial information.      Your next career move starts here.
