The Senior Contracts Accountant contributes to AHF by provides senior-level financial oversight for complex grant and contract portfolios, ensuring expenditures are allowable, accurate, and properly documented in compliance with 2 CFR 200 and funder requirements. Reviews contracts and budgets to ensure financial and regulatory compliance. Oversees expenditure tracking, drawdowns, and general ledger reconciliations, and performs reclassifications when necessary. Prepares and reviews financial reports, invoices/reimbursement requests, and interprets contract terms to resolve billing, budget, and compliance issues. Supports audits and monitoring reviews and prepares responses to funder inquiries. Identifies financial and compliance risks and recommends corrective actions and internal control improvements. Assists with budget development and amendments, maintains complete financial records and supporting documentation, and prepares financial analyses using SAP S/4HANA and other financial systems. Maintains a clear audit trail of all financial activities performed. Provides financial guidance on grant status, spending trends, and related special projects, and performs other grants related duties as assigned.

 

The Senior Contracts Accountant  enhances the reputation of AHF by  playing a critical role in an evolving grants contract management infrastructure and participates in the financial management and accounting activities associated with government and/or non-profit grants. This position analyzes post award grants accounting to ensure compliance with Cost Principles as outlined in 2 CFR Part 200 Subpart E and all other applicable jurisdictional accounting requirements.
