Main responsibilities:
The Senior Director, Pharmacy & OTC Finance Business Partner works closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making for two business functions or business units or a business unit needing full finance transformation. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure financial alignment and drive business performance. This role reports to the VP of Finance.
This position is located in our Itasca, IL and Boise, Idaho office location. We currently require employees to work onsite Monday through Thursday to support collaboration and engagement. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this role.
- Strategic Financial Support: Partner with senior leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze business financial performance and key performance indicators, identify trends and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct financial planning and analysis to support business unit decisions.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with functional teams in the preparation and management of functional and administrative annual operating plan, quarterly projects and weekly forecasts. Monitor plan, projection and forecast performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights on opportunities for improvement.
- Project Management: Support financial aspects of key projects and initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis and business cases. Ensure projects are financially viable and aligned with business goals.
- Pricing Strategy Support: Collaborate with the pricing team to develop and implement effective pricing strategies. Analyze the financial impact of pricing decisions and promotions.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to functional leaders. Support decision-making processes with robust financial analysis.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure business unit financial alignment and support business objectives.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership. Communicate financial performance and strategies effectively.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks related to function supported. Develop and implement risk management policies.
- People Leadership: Lead a team managers and analysts.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred) with 7-15 years experience.
- CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in a financial leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in financial software and tools.
