Description:
This position is used as a support to the overall functions of the Financial Planning department. This position is primarily responsible for the enhancement and development of accurate financial information in order to improve the organization's financial performance. The analyst advises organizational leaders through the interpretation of complex financial information to assist in the decision-making processes with a focus on bottom-line performance improvement. This position will provide effective application of information related to the cost and profitability of providing services throughout the organization. In addition, this position should have expertise to support the overall operations of the finance department including but not limited to productivity, budget, and other analysis on an as needed basis. The incumbent will assist with increasing the financial acumen of the other financial staff and leadership throughout the ministry.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
2. Five (5) years of experience in finance or accounting is required.
3. Three (3) years of decision support, cost accounting or finance experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
4. Strong analytical and conceptual skills as evidenced by developing productivity standards, developing budgetary standards and models, or developing decision support information is required.
5. Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications including the ability to extract data from multiple systems and to automate complex functions within spreadsheet applications is required.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
7. The ability to apply critical thinking skills to complex problems, discern relevant questions as well as the method to be used for resolving questions is required.
8. The ability to teach complex material to various levels of management as well as co-workers is required.
9. The ability to create/design and present information in a presentation format that translates technical financial information into terms understandable to the board, leadership, physicians, and other staff is required.
10. An understanding of the interrelationship between various financial/decision support tools is required.
11. The ability to organize and prioritize work in a diverse, fast paced environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously and to complete assignments according to established timeframes is required.
12. The ability to understand and interpret complex issues and processes and to recommend actions related to financial operations resulting in financial improvement and/or operations is required.
13. Experience in managing large projects from the planning through the implementation stage is required.
Pay Range $45.50 - $68.27
