Sequel’s flagship product, the twiist Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System, launched in July 2025 for people with type 1 diabetes providing them with personalized diabetes management.Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A and Commercial Operations, the Senior Manager, FP&A will play a pivotal role in shaping Sequel’s financial strategy and long-term business planning. This individual will partner closely with the VP, Financial Strategy and Investor Relations, the Senior Director, FP&A and Commercial Operations, and business leadership to develop strategic financial models that inform Sequel’s long-term growth trajectory. In addition to leading core financial planning and analysis activities—including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis—the Senior Manager will collaborate on the creation of materials for investors and Sequel’s Board of Directors, ensuring alignment between operational insights and strategic messaging.
This role also includes managing and developing a growing financial planning team, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving cross-functional collaboration to deliver actionable financial insights. The Senior Manager will analyze operating results in terms of costs, budgets, trends, and profit opportunities, and provide ongoing financial support to departments across the organization.
\nJob Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
Consolidate financial and operational data from various sources and create comprehensive reports to support management in decision-making processes.
Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Manage and develop a growing FP&A team.
Responsible for in-depth variance analysis, identifying trends and key drivers impacting financial performance, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
Prepare materials and present data and insights in executive management and board meetings, providing clear and concise explanations of financial results.
Develop, document and maintain function standard work processes and procedures.
Assist in implementing enterprise and other software systems related to the finance function.
Coordinate ad-hoc analytics based on business needs.Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field
5+ years relevant financial planning and analysis experienceRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced Excel skills, including managing large data sets, creating and maintaining financial models, macros, pivot tables and advanced Excel formulas.
Experience with using Netsuite or another ERP system preferred.
Experience developing and managing finance professionals.
Experience working with NetSuite Planning & Budgeting or similar Financial Planning software preferred.
Experience presenting to executives and department leads
Ability to synthesize complex financial issues and to communicate them in a clear and concise manner
Life sciences industry experience preferred\n
