Looking for More Than Just Another Accounting Job?

Are you a technically strong accountant who has built a solid foundation and is ready for greater ownership?

At Rivertown Dental, we're looking for an Accountant who wants to grow beyond routine accounting work. You'll partner directly with our Senior Director of Finance, contribute to meaningful projects, improve accounting processes, and help build the finance function of a growing healthcare organization.

If you're looking for a place where your ideas matter, your work has visible impact, and your career has room to grow, we'd love to meet you.

Why Rivertown Dental?

Rivertown Dental is a privately owned, multi-location dental organization committed to investing in our people, improving our processes, and providing exceptional patient care.

We believe great accounting is more than producing accurate numbers—it's about helping leaders make better decisions and building systems that support long-term growth. As our organization continues to expand, we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

What You'll Do

  • Administer and help optimize QuickBooks Online.
  • Prepare deposit entries and deposit reconciliations.
  • Support the general ledger and month-end close process (cash basis).
  • Prepare location-level financial reports and management reporting.
  • Prepare sales and use tax filings.
  • Maintain vendor records and accounting system integrity.
  • Partner on accounting process improvements and internal controls.
  • Support financial compliance activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation.
  • Serve as an internal accounting resource while partnering with the Senior Director of Finance on more complex accounting matters.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience using QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statements, bank reconciliations, sales and use tax, and month-end accounting processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-location healthcare, dental, or professional-services environment.
  • Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency.

This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who...

  • Has developed a strong accounting foundation and wants greater ownership.
  • Enjoys improving processes—not just maintaining them.
  • Wants to work directly with executive leadership.
  • Is looking for a long-term career opportunity with room to grow.
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Career Growth

This position is intentionally designed as a growth opportunity. As Rivertown Dental continues to expand, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and grow into an Accounting Manager role as our internal accounting function matures.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Meaningful work with visible impact
  • Direct mentorship from the Senior Director of Finance
  • Opportunity to help build and improve the accounting function
  • Collaborative, supportive culture
  • Professional growth in a rapidly expanding organization
  • Competitive salary and benefits
