This opportunity is for a Full Time Staff Accountant for our Rochelle Park, NJ office.  
 
Under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, the Staff Accountant will help maintain our financial records, including journal entries, purchases, payments, and account reconciliation and work closely with our finance team to create and analyze financial reports. The Staff Accountant’s responsibilities are to prepare and record routine journal entries, oversee and assist with recording and allocation all day-to-day invoices, manage vendor transitions, and reconcile transactions of our company.
 
Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform journal entries in general ledger
  • Oversee and assist with processing and coding of incoming vendor invoices
  • Ensure procurement accounts are set up for company offices
  • Manage vendor and service account integration and transition
  • Process payment of bills
  • Conduct bank and credit card account reconciliations
  • Deposit checks received into bank accounts
  • Manage lease setup and maintenance as required
  • Additional accounting functions as needed
Education & Experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven bookkeeping experience, medical / healthcare experience is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience using Netsuite
Skills and Abilities:
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial record
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Data entry skills and proficiency in manipulating and uploading CSV files
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across a team
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
