Staff Accountant

Position Title: Staff AccountantCompany Overview:BIOQUAL was established in 1981 and performs contract research services focused on in vivo models of human diseases including COVID-19, AIDS, influenza, RSV infection, Flavivirus infections including Zika and Dengue, malaria, hepatitis, and cancer. BIOQUAL has laboratories and vivariums under both BSL-2 and BSL-3 containment. In addition, BIOQUAL maintains CDC-approved BSL-3 containment laboratories for studies associated with Select Agents including highly pathogenic avian influenza.Objectives:• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes• Complete monthly bank reconciliations• Complete monthly journal entries• Manage the customer invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing• Perform collection activity and resolution of outstanding invoices for past due accounts• Perform monthly AMEX bill reconciliation• Assist in any internal or external audits as needed• Perform other departmental duties as assignedQualifications and Skills:• B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance• 3-5 Years of Accounting experience• Experience with Billing using Deltek Costpoint• Understanding of T&M, FP, and Cost Plus billing a must• Attention to detail• Excellent written and oral communication• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
