This role supports accurate and timely financial reporting across a large, multi-entity healthcare organization.
You will play an important part in monthly close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and variance resolution.
Working closely with facility leadership and finance teams, you will help ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and properly supported.
The position provides exposure to a broad range of accounting areas, including fixed assets, leases, revenue, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet and P&L accounts.
You will also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and initiatives designed to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Accountabilities
  • Support monthly balance sheet account reconciliation processes across a range of accounts and organizational entities.
  • Assist with month-end close activities for designated facilities, including portions of the close checklist, statistical entries, reconciliations, and post-close review and analysis.
  • Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis for designated facilities and assigned account ranges, including projects, fixed assets, leases, net revenue, and net accounts receivable.
  • Investigate, explain, and resolve discrepancies and variances identified during balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership and finance teams to prepare, review, and record journal entries, ensuring entries are properly supported and accurately recorded.
  • Support facility leadership and finance teams with annual budgeting activities and monthly operating forecasts.
  • Assist with quarterly financial reviews and annual internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation, analysis, and explanations.
  • Work closely with management across various departments to address accounting requirements and support financial reporting activities.
  • Use ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis tools, including Oracle OTBI and SmartView, to support accounting and reporting needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and consistency across the organization.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to remain current with accounting standards, financial practices, and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Perform additional accounting and reporting responsibilities as needed to support the broader accounting function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred; relevant internships, coursework, or related experience may also be considered.
  • Previous experience in an accounting role is preferred but not required.
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Ability to analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, identify discrepancies, and develop appropriate explanations or resolutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when working with financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring month-end, reporting, budgeting, and audit deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with facility leadership, finance professionals, and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with an interest in identifying process improvements and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Willingness to learn new financial systems, reporting tools, accounting standards, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Proficiency with financial analysis and reporting tools such as Oracle OTBI and SmartView is advantageous.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
