Staff Accountant
Phase 1 Equity · Hybrid

Love a clean reconciliation? Get a little thrill when the numbers tie out? Let’s talk.

Phase 1 Equity is a fast-growing Dental Service Organization partnering with orthodontic practices across the country. We’re building something big, and we need a sharp, detail-obsessed accountant to help keep our books tight as we grow.

Requirements

What you’ll do

Own the close. Journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and roll-forwards, done right and on time every month.
Keep things balanced. Reconcile bank, credit card, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts across multiple entities.
Dig into the numbers. Research variances, prepare account analyses, and support reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Help us grow. Bring newly acquired practices into our accounting system and help build the processes that let us scale.
Keep payroll running smoothly. You’ll own payroll processing in Paylocity to start, then shift into a backup role as your accounting responsibilities grow with the company.
Make things better. Spot inefficiencies, document procedures, and help strengthen our controls.

What you bring

3–5 years of accounting experience, with a bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferred.
A solid grasp of GAAP.
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups are your friends).
The ability to juggle deadlines without dropping the ball.
Bonus points for Sage Intacct, Paylocity, payroll experience, or a background in healthcare, dental, or multi-entity organizations.

Why you’ll like it here

Real impact. At a growing startup, your work shapes how we operate.
Flexibility. A hybrid schedule that balances in-office collaboration with time working from home.

Teammates who care about doing things right and having fun along the way.
