What You’ll Do
Here’s how you’ll help us bring our mission to life and show up as a Trusted Partner:
- Own the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and lead the close process, ensuring timely, accurate results in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and maintaining strong supporting documentation for audit readiness
- Lead the annual audit process, partnering with external auditors and delivering complete, accurate schedules with minimal findings
- Drive process optimization across accounting workflows, improving systems, controls, and close efficiency to support scalability in a high-growth SaaS environment
- Act as a hands-on accounting leader—contributing directly to journal entries and technical accounting while supporting special projects and mentoring team members

- Monthly financial statements are delivered accurately and on time in accordance with close deadlines
- Balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly with minimal unreconciled items and clear supporting documentation
- Audit results are clean with minimal adjustments or findings
- Close process efficiency improves over time (e.g., reduced close timeline by [X] days)
- High stakeholder confidence in financial reporting accuracy and transparency
What You Bring
Your unique talents are what make you shine. For this role, success looks like:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Experience in a SaaS environment with strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Proven ability to own financial statement preparation and lead the close process in a hands-on capacity
- Strong proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, and customer lifetime value
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator with the ability to partner cross-functionally and lead a team

The Fine Print (That Really Matters)
At PracticeTek, we determine compensation by considering market data, internal equity, and each candidate’s skills and experience. For this position, we reasonably expect to pay total comp between $158,000 - $194,000. This role is also eligible for benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and may be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or equity, as applicable.
