Job Title: Controller 
Department: Finance 
Reports To: VP, Finance

Location: This is a remote position open to candidates in the United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Ivim Health does not currently sponsor employment visas.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an end-of-year performance-based bonus.

Compensation is determined based on factors such as location, relevant experience, and qualifications. Candidates in higher cost-of-living areas or with exceptional expertise may fall above this range.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a Controller who has succeeded in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is comfortable moving seamlessly between detailed, hands-on accounting work, team leadership and being a change agent. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable diving into complex spreadsheets as they are leading cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational improvements.

This person will be an exceptional leader who can guide the Accounting team through the monthly close process while successfully managing key initiatives throughout the year, including the annual financial audit, process improvement projects, system enhancements, and other significant business transactions. They excel at managing competing priorities, quickly learn new processes, and develop a deep understanding of accounting operations and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, revenue, tax compliance and equity. Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings in compliance with GAAP.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures to support a strong control environment and scalable growth.
  • Manage the annual financial statement audit, tax compliance, and relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers.
  • Partner with theVP, Finance to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and systems enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Support strategic initiatives, new product launches, system implementations, and other significant business transactions, as needed. This includes creating or updating standard operating procedures as required.
  • Provide financial leadership and insights to cross-functional teams, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Mentor and develop team members, supporting their professional growth and effectiveness.

What You Bring:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ( CPA Required; MBA or CMAa plus).
  • Experience in a controller role at a multi-entity start-up, or high-growth organization.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in GAAP, audits, and financial reporting.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to design and implement financial controls and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements, tax regulations, and audit best practices.
