Reliable Respiratory is a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company that provides the highest quality level of service for patients in need of respiratory, diabetes, urology and maternity support. Equipment provided includes, CPAPs, BiPAPs, AutoPaPs, nebulizers, oxygen equipment, ventilators, CGM devices, insulin pumps, and breast pumps.

Job Purpose
The Controller will be responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating of all accounting operational functions for the Company and affiliated companies. As the business needs grow, this position will be an integral part in building the accounting department.
Required Skills
- Developing internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for all accounting transactions.
- Coordinating the activities of external auditors.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Establishing and maintaining financial controls with the accounting department.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
- Assist in preparation of budgets and financial forecasting.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, account reconciliations and select management reports.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
- Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
- Being responsible for the company’s general ledger.
Basic Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and not require work authorization from us now or in the future
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Certified Public Accountant designation required
- Minimum seven years related experience required
- Experience in both public and private accounting required
- Experience with inventory required
- Experience with Ecommerce preferred
- Experience with durable medical equipment provider preferred but not required
Required Skills
- High level of proficiency with software applications (Sage Intact, Excel, Outlook, E-Mail, MS Word etc.).
- The ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks/projects.
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Proficient in financial analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), including editing and proofing skills.
- Excellent listening, interpretation, and reasoning skills necessary.
- Must be an independent thinker and innovative problem-solver.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with team members and external clients.
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
The Controller will have to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. They may find the environment to be busy, noisy, and will need to have excellent organizational, time, and stress management skills to complete the required tasks.
