Reporting to the VP FP&A, the Director, Finance Operations will serve as the primary finance partner to market leadership and physicians. The role will serve the practice in a leadership position, providing operational, financial, and strategic decision-making support needed to effectively manage its existing business and grow. This role will provide direction and oversight of financial operations while partnering closely with corporate finance and accounting to jointly deliver high-quality financial services to the practice. The ideal candidate will have healthcare finance experience and a strong ability to work collaboratively with physicians in private practice or hospital-employed settings.
Responsibilities include presenting monthly financial results and operational performance updates, managing and communicating the physician compensation model, managing the annual operating, labor, and capital budgeting processes, and partnering with corporate functions on strategic initiatives and M&A-related analysis. This position will be highly visible across the organization and will regularly interact with executive leadership, operational leaders, and physicians.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
- Review and present financial reports to the CGB
- Serve as a key liaison to physicians regarding financial, productivity, and volume performance.
- Maintain and manage physician compensation models, including conducting physician-level compensation reviews and explaining compensation calculations and drivers.
- Partner with corporate FP&A to develop and monitor operating, capital, labor, and productivity budgets.
- Monitor financial and operational performance trends and help identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and physician alignment.
- Support strategic initiatives and M&A activity through financial analysis, validation of assumptions, and collaboration with corporate teams.
- Partner closely with corporate accounting and FP&A teams to improve the quality, accuracy, and usability of financial reporting and operational analytics.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, healthcare finance, or operational finance leadership roles.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working with physician compensation models and healthcare operational metrics preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required

WORK ENVIORNMENT
Work may be fast-paced and intense at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptions may occur. Schedule requires flexibility to occasionally include evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
