Job Summary
The Finance Manager for Mass General Brigham Radiation Oncology leads day-to-day finance operations and a team of financial analysts while supporting the financial integration and standardization of Radiation Oncology across the MGB system. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, and serves as a key partner to operational and clinical leaders in driving financial discipline and decision-making. The Finance Manager also oversees accounts payable and vendor invoicing workflows, supports month-end close activities, and assists with preparation of financial statements and reporting packages for joint venture partners. Experience with enterprise finance systems (e.g., Workday and Strata) and process improvement in complex, matrixed environments is strongly preferred.Essential Functions (Key Roles & Responsibilities)
• Lead and develop a team of finance staff, providing day-to-day guidance, performance management, and quality oversight of deliverables.
• Own the annual operating and capital budgeting process, including direct preparation and review of budgets, validation of assumptions, and alignment with system targets.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses, ensuring accuracy, clear narrative explanation, and actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Support and lead financial integration efforts across Radiation Oncology, including cost center alignment, reporting standardization, and process harmonization.
• Oversee and, when necessary, directly manage accounts payable and vendor invoicing workflows, including accruals, PO/non-PO processes, and internal control compliance.
• Support and oversee physician compensation modeling and monitoring, including productivity tracking, incentive validation, and variance reporting.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reporting packages for joint venture and affiliate partners, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Partner with operational and clinical leaders to monitor FTEs, expenses, and revenue performance, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
• Leverage and optimize financial systems (e.g., Workday, Strata, Tableau) to enhance reporting efficiency and data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements, maintaining documentation and improving financial processes over time.
• Oversee the management and financial integrity of departmental sundry and restricted funds, ensuring appropriate monitoring of balances, compliance with institutional policies, and timely reporting to department leadership.

Bachelor's Degree Finance required
Master's Degree Finance preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical, managerial, and organizational skills.

- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare finance regulations and standards.
- Ability to independently make decisions under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, department leaders and/or third parties.
