Revenue Cycle Associate III: Patient Accounting
Job Description
- The Revenue Cycle Associate is responsible for clerical duties and operational support in Revenue Cycle or Coding. This role greets and assists all visitors in the department.
- The associate distributes mail, answers phones, and maintains and distributes records and/or reports regularly.
- Maintains and prepares for scanning high volumes of documents and/or health information.
- Processes billing or health information.
- Releases billing or health information.
- Keeps supervisor informed of issues or concerns that arise.
- May prepare face sheets for contracted local fire departments and provide general administrative support.
- May collect and/or deliver health information from the nursing unit, retrieve records from storage, and account for discharged patient medical records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Additionally, the Revenue Cycle Associate III provides the highest level of department support.
- Accepts subpoenas for the department and completes necessary steps.
- May accurately enter requests into ChartMaxx.
- May process authorization of itemized statements, conduct audits, and submit denial letters to insurance.
