Position Summary

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance across the organization. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining general ledger integrity, supporting grant reporting, and assisting with budgeting processes.

What You’ll Do

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP

  • Produce and distribute monthly financial statements

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies

  • Analyze financial trends and provide insights to leadership

  • Support audit preparation, including work papers and documentation

  • Generate grant invoices and reporting

  • Assist in developing and improving accounting policies and procedures

  • Maintain and document accounting processes for consistency and compliance

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What You Bring

Education

  • High School Diploma required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience

  • Progressive experience within accounting and healthcare environments preferred

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Dynamics Finance System

Licensure/Certification

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
