Primary Responsibilities: 

• Initial setup of new internal reinsurance agreements
• Monthly administration of new reinsurance agreements
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of reinsurance journal entries per monthly activity
• Perform quarterly reinsurance variance analysis and true-up as needed
• Participate in the monthly/quarterly close process as required
• Provide supporting documentation for internal/external and regulatory audits
• Communicate effectively with auditors at appropriate levels to resolve issues and findings and prepare responses
• Prepare 401k employee benefit plan financial statements
• Support various Corporate Accounting activities, as requested, and accounting related projects, as assigned
• Perform ad hoc projects, reporting, and consulting with segment finance teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of public accounting busy seasons
• Ability to comprehend and apply generally accepted accounting principles, and research and analyze accounting related issues
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships across the organization
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (ex. Pivot tables, vlookups), Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• Big 4 experience
• Healthcare experience
• Experience with Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials
• Ability to understand and implement reinsurance accounting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
