Job Description

This position will be scheduled to work Monday – Friday with remote capability up to two days per week once fully trained.
I. Position Overview:
The position is responsible for Accounting for the Woodstock, IL site. Responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records and reporting per GAAP/WSS SOP and support to the finance team in the areas of cash, accounts receivable, invoice generation, monthly spend analysis, audit support and other ad-hoc analysis/support.
II. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
The position will perform daily work assignments accurately and in a timely and safe manner. The position will have sound technical aptitude and perform multiple projects at a time.
Accounting/Closing
• Prepare assigned journal entries, including processing of interfaces, that ensure an accurate and timely close process per established timelines & procedures.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Manage cash payments & bank reconciliations.
• Manage AR aging reporting and facilitate/assist with collection activities from customers.
• Manage Allowance for Doubtful Accounts reconciliation and quarterly calculation.
• Work with management to identify and implement process improvements where applicable.
• Assist with interim and year-end audit procedures.
Financial /Business Support
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial forecast for the site.
• Effectively interact with all levels of management, including executive staff
• Track KPIs and prepare related financial reports and analyses that provide meaningful insights into performance drivers.
• Support the development of cash flow statements for budgets, forecasts, and actual weekly reporting.
• Work with management to identify and implement ways to maximize cash flow.
Systems, Policies & Procedures
• Participate in annual review of internal controls and maintenance of proper internal control system.
• Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position.

III. Position Requirements:
Education or Equivalent:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience:
• 5 years’ experience, preferably in manufacturing operations
• Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Technical Requirements:
• Strong mathematical, accounting, finance, and analytical skills
• JDE experience a plus
• Sound knowledge and application of US GAAP and Revenue Recognition rules
• Ability to attend training and apply learning on work processes, regulatory guidelines, etc.
• Ability to proficiently use Excel, Word, and other office systems. Advanced Excel skills are strongly preferred.
• Ability to review data to ensure data is well organized with complete documentation.

Physical Requirements:
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, talking, writing, listening.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, grasping.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
