Who We Want:

Q’Apel is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager with a minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing month-end close processes, financial reporting, and audit preparation. Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks, along with advanced knowledge of Excel, is essential. Familiarity with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is also important. The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team by setting goals, providing guidance, and evaluating performance. Additionally, they must be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


What You’ll Work On:


  • Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
  • Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.  
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
  • Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
  • Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.


What You Bring:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
  • Eight years or more of related experience required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

 

Experience & Skills:

  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider the current market rate, and the title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 to $165,000 + equity + benefits.
