Position Summary
GLOBALRx is seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated, and adaptable Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, including GlobalRx, Legere, and affiliated companies. Reporting to the Controller, this role is ideal for an early- to mid-career accounting professional with a strong foundation in GAAP, month-end close, and reconciliations.
As we are currently scaling the business up, we are looking for a candidate who is genuinely interested in growing with the company and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who works well on their own, successfully managing multiple projects for multiple entities simultaneously, and maintains high performance even under pressure. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations & Close
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
- Research, analyze, and resolve variances and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Multi-entity & Financial Reporting Support
- Support accounting activities for multiple legal entities, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Independently manage and prioritize multiple accounting projects across different entities.
- Assist with entity-level reporting and consolidation support.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
Operational & Inventory Accounting
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and cost accounting processes as needed.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, controls, and audit trails for all transactions.
Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
- Work extensively within QuickBooks to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
- AI Experience is a plus.
- Assist in maintaining and improving accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, sales, and HR teams to ensure accurate and complete financial information.
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders regarding accounting questions, timelines, and issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using QuickBooks required.
- 1–3 years of general accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects for multiple entities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
- Multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or project accounting a plus.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting.
- Proficiency with other ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
