The VP, Field Finance will lead and be accountable for the field regional teams responsible for driving financial performance, focus on growth, scale, efficient performance in all geographies. This role operates as a partner to the COO and CMO to drive business strategy and its implementation, monitor business performance, manage risk and compliance, and facilitate financial scenario planning & decision making. This role provides strategic leadership position for financial direction and recommends key actions, is responsible for target setting and strategic planning processes, and various ad-hoc financial analysis.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads and develops strategic long-term financial and business plans ensuring alignment with organization goals, metrics, and executive leadership team.
- Shares ownership and accountability of all P&L results with the Company dyad leadership [COO and CMO].
- Partners with dyad leadership teams to identify, align and execute on opportunities to improve business performance and “meet or beat plan” including effective communications and alignment with all key stakeholders, including central financial and business teams.
- Shares ownership and accountability over operating expenses (Clinical and non-Clinical) with Company dyad leadership, with role as primary person accountable for understanding, analyzing and controlling operating expenses within the Company (including identification & execution of opportunities to drive to a more efficient cost structure).
- Facilitates cross functional resource allocation decisions to maximize return (NPV, ROI, sensitivity analysis) and provide transparency and assessment of tradeoffs.
- Drives discipline in executing the strategy, drives accountability for results.
- Creates value for the business, drives growth, productivity, and efficiency through strong project leadership.
- Develops 5-year strategic plan based on inputs from Management Teams.
- Partners/coordinates with central finance while leading field finance team to support rollout and ongoing administration of ChenMed’s Shared Success Plan (SSP), including coaching of Company dyad teams to identify performance improvement opportunities, execute those opportunities and measure the outcomes/impact of actions taken.
- Partners with and guides dyad leadership through the enterprise-led annual planning process including development of financial targets, key metrics, financial projections, and alignment of financial and operating objectives.
- Partners with and guides dyad leadership through the enterprise-led strategic (multi-year) planning process.
- Monitors progress, develops action plans and ensures execution towards Budget and KPI targets achievement.
- Creates tools, processes, reports, and metrics to accurately forecast business results and proactively manage performance to meet financial objectives.
- Leads a team to analyze, understand, synthesize, and explain emerging results, as well as forecast the impact of those results on future periods (including identification and execution of actions to improve those results).
- Partners with dyad leadership, field finance personnel and COE partners to validate, drive and execute key medical cost initiatives to “bend the cost curve”
- Exercises capital discipline regarding operating costs in all geographies
- Partners with and supports central Health Plan Administration activities including the identification and execution of claims contestation, DOFR and contracting issues in accordance with processes and policies set forth by the central Health Plan Administration function.
- Creates an environment that allows for field finance to serve as a visible, effective consultant/leader to the regions.
- Aligns field finance with the ChenMed Way, values, behaviors, and service standards; develops a deep understanding of the economic impact of the components, drivers and indicators of the core model.
- Builds strong relationships with management team to create value and drive performance versus targets.
- Leads in-depth financial, variance, and trending analysis for key profitability drivers and metrics, with focus on presentation to management. Interprets results and articulates actionable recommendations that maximize profitability and ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Develop, coach, and support the Finance organization across the different regions and ensure succession plans of key regional field finance positions (ready now successors).
- Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

- Ability to model financial concepts of IRR, ROI, payback period, NPV, margin hurdles, etc.
- Strong financial acumen, problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to analyze/synthesize multiple data sources to develop deep understanding of market dynamics, identify and prioritize opportunities, and spot trends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software
- Ability and willingness to travel nationwide up to 40% of the time
- Spoken and written fluency in English
- This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
- BS in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience required; additional experience above the minimum will be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis
- MBA or similar degree a plus; top-tier institutions preferred
- Minimum twenty (20) years of combined healthcare and finance experience required with at least five (5) years in a senior leadership position
- Preferred: experience in a risk-based healthcare organization
PAY RANGE:
$256,415 - $366,308 SalaryThe posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.
