Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. This entry-to-mid level role is perfect for a motivated individual who wants to gain hands-on accounting experience in a fast-growing biotech and medical device company. The Accounting Assistant will help maintain accurate financial records, support day-to-day accounting operations, and assist with financial reporting in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice entry, payment processing, and collections follow-up.
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- File sales tax reports and assist with other regulatory filings.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather information and resolve accounting inquiries.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documents.
- Communicate with Korean headquarters on accounting matters as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates welcome)
- 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships or part-time experience considered).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of multi-state or international tax compliance.
- Interest in the medical device or biotech industry.
