About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations, along with the ability to work efficiently with modern tools — including AI-powered software — to streamline day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies independently
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, research and resolve any issues with vendor/buyer, ensure timely, accurate weekly payment run
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Ensure accurate and timely employee reimbursement
  • Develop and maintain standard costs, analyze production costs and reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Assist with forecasting, and variance analysis, and assist with audit requests
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, including leveraging AI tools to automate and speed up routine tasks
  • Mentor and provide guidance to accounting staff
  • Assist with and/or manage ad hoc reporting, analysis, or other projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA (or equivalent certification) preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 1-2 years’ Experience in manufacturing and cost accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills
  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or similar) in daily work to improve efficiency, analyze data, draft reports, and automate repetitive tasks
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP system implementation or upgrades
  • Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior team members

$150K Base - Compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skill set, years of experience, and geographic location.
