Description
Position Summary: The Accounting Manager manages members of the Accounting team and has periodic accounting responsibilities and owns financial statement preparation for assigned facilities. As a member of the accounting team at Cascadia, you will have the opportunity to help shape processes and procedures of a fast-growing company.
Essential Functions:
- Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Owns the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Reviews journal entries and financial statements of other staff.
- Performs technical accounting research on complex accounting issues and implements as necessary.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- May manage expense reporting, corporate credit card reconciliations, or recurring monthly
- May manage facility fixed assets and personal property reporting.
- Prepares General Ledger reconciliations.
- Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Provides accounting support to various stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
- Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
Experience:
- 5 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Public Accounting experience preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- CPA license preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of, and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Accustomed to working under strict deadlines; able to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work diligently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive, self-directed, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately.
