Palmetto Community Care is seeking a manager of accounting and finance skilled in the non-profit space, who will work with us to make a significant impact on our mission to bring an end to the HIV epidemic. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the financial landscape of our non-profit organization. In this position, you will supervise another employee and oversee day-to-day accounting and finance functions, ensuring that all financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations. You will be responsible for budgeting, maintaining the chart of accounts, and managing payables and receivables to maintain financial integrity.
Your attention to detail and expertise with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel are vital to ensuring your success in this role. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is essential. Successful candidates will bring a strong background in the non-profit sector, allowing for effective management of grants and funding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also vital, as you'll be collaborating closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer, your direct report and other team members.
