Position Summary
The Senior Analyst in this role will support enterprise-level financial planning and analysis activities, including consolidation, strategic evaluation, and in-depth analysis across all CVS Health business segments. This role will contribute to long-term strategic financials (MYR) and annual operating plans (Budget) for the CVS Health Enterprise and work closely with cross-segment finance teams to understand how emerging results and strategic priorities impact the enterprise financial picture.
This role will also have a dedicated focus on Health Care Benefits (HCB), supporting monthly actuals, forecast, annual operating plan, and long-term projections. The Senior Analyst will perform strategic financial analysis to develop insights that inform financial narratives. Deliverables from this role will be incorporated into materials reviewed by senior leaders, including Segment CFOs, Segment Presidents, and other executives.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Strategic Financials & Operating Plans
- Support the development and maintenance of Enterprise FP&A strategic financials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with segment finance teams.
- Assist with core components of the Enterprise Operating Plan process, including consolidation of segment Budgets, analysis of key drivers, and preparation of materials for senior leadership review.
- Contribute analytical support for enterprise guidance, segment targets, and strategic planning inputs in alignment with the Enterprise Finance roadmap.
Financial Analysis & Strategic Insights
- Partner with segment finance teams—particularly Health Care Benefits—to analyze actuals, forecasts, and long term projections and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
- Produce high quality financial analysis to inform financial narratives for executive materials such as Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meetings, Board meetings, quarterly earnings, and Investor Day.
Process Innovation & Governance
- Support enhancements to the planning and forecasting processes by identifying opportunities to streamline analysis, improve transparency, and strengthen coordination across teams.
- Ensure strong governance of deliverables by maintaining accuracy, consistency, and timeliness, and by communicating clearly with stakeholders throughout the planning cycle.
Success Profile
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear insights for enterprise decision‑making.
- General understanding of the Health Care Benefits segment, with exposure to multiple lines of business preferred.
- Effective communicator who can prepare executive‑ready materials and clearly explain financial results and drivers.
- Proactive problem solver who looks beyond the numbers to understand business context and strategic implications.
- Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across finance teams and contributes positively to team culture.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance roles
- Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, or long‑range planning processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Health Care Benefits, Health Care Delivery, Pharmacy Services (PBM), and/or Retail segments; experience across multiple segments is a plus
- Familiarity with FP&A planning technologies such as Hyperion, SAP/S4, and/or Anaplan
- Strong organizational and project‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
