SUMMARY OF JOB
The Vice President, Finance reports directly to the Redeemer Health System Chief Financial Officer and secondarily to the Executive Vice President, Home Care & Hospice. The role of financial reporting requires the full oversight of the financial management of the business including expense management, revenue cycle management, general ledger, preparation of financial statements of the various entities, and budgeting. The role requires design, implementation, maintenance and reporting of processes to achieve the strategic financial plan of the Redeemer Health Home Care Division and assist other divisions as needed.
Specific areas of responsibility will include forecasting, capital planning, and financial targets for operations. The role regularly interacts with a variety of positions throughout the health system including the Home Care Board presenting financial results of the home care and hospice operations.
Lead the Home Care Revenue Cycle team and collaborate with the Accounting and Operations teams who have the responsibility of preparing the Home Care and Hospice monthly financial statements and assist with the annual budget, forecast models and variance reporting.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Administration or related field is required, a Master Degree in Finance, Business, or Health Administration preferred.
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in Accounting and/or healthcare finance field and knowledge of operational and business impact of financial and budget performance.
- Minimum of seven years with specific experience in Home Care/Hospice/Post-Acute Care payment/reimbursement methodologies and operations.
- Requires working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Medicare and Medicaid regulations and other reimbursement methodologies.
- Knowledge of operating and capital budget development and forecasting.
- Working knowledge of Home Care revenue cycle management, operational financial management, the operation of financial markets and capital planning process.
- Candidates should have experience and a proven track record in applying strong analytical skills to support program and service investment decisions.
- Candidates must be a strong collaborator working with cross-functioning teams and divisions and possess exceptional verbal and written communications skills. Besides the coordination of the overall financial team, this position requires ongoing communications with other members of Senior Management, and Board members on a routine basis. Significant and regular communications and interactions with personnel external to the organization – such as auditors, bankers, consultants, and leaders from other healthcare organizations.

LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required.
