Finance Manager


•    Salary Range: $89,648 - $125,507 based on relevant years of experience

•    Location: Larimer County, Colorado

•    Status: Monday - Friday

•    Hours: 8am - 5pm


The salary range for this position is SummitStone’s good faith belief and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this position at the time of the posting. Role Overview:


Responsible for strategic oversight, integration, and continuous improvement of the organization’s financial reporting systems, financial reporting infrastructure, and financial planning processes.  Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of financial data to support timely decision-making across the organization. Leads the organization-wide budgeting process, drives financial systems strategy, and oversees the implementation and optimization of financial tools including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) platforms.  Acts as a primary liaison between Finance, Technology, and operational teams partnering with functional leadership across complex, cross-departmental initiatives. This position also serves as a Finance Business Partner to organizational leaders, providing consultation on budgeting, staffing models, expense management, and financial performance.   


Essential Duties: 


  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting systems and related financial data.
  • Lead the implementation, integration, and optimization of financial and business systems, including ERP and FP&A tools, to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Lead the organization-wide budgeting process, including planning, coordination, and consultation with leaders on staffing models, expenses, grants, and financial forecasts.
  • Function as a Finance Business Partner by providing financial guidance, analysis, reports, and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial systems, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and internal controls.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee financial business system services in partnership with Finance, Technology, and other functional subject matter experts
  • Serve as the liaison between Finance, IT, and internal business partners to ensure system functionality, data integrity, record retention, and reporting needs are met.
  • Lead and manage finance-related system projects (e.g., implementations, upgrades, integrations), including coordination with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders.  
  • Lead the work with Grant Accountants to optimize the grant module within Sage, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and integration into budgeting and financial reporting processes.
  • Identify, plan, and implement operational and system improvements that enhance financial processes, reporting capabilities, and organizational efficiency, while researching and resolving financial system issues, data discrepancies, and reporting errors in coordination with vendors, consultants, and internal users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or closely related field required 
  • More than five years of experience in progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting operations, financial systems administration, financial analysis, or a related field required
  • Experience leading cross-functional systems projects, implementations, process improvements, or ERP-related initiatives required. 
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered     


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree preferred
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification preferred
