We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with 1–2 years of experience to join our accounting team. This role will own key components of the monthly close process and support core accounting operations. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, technology-minded, and enjoys improving processes while building a strong foundation in accounting. What You Will Do
As a Staff Accountant you will own the following:
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner.
- Analyze account activity and research unusual fluctuations to ensure financial statement accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Own portions of the accounts payable process, including coding, discrepancy resolution, reconciliation and credit card accounting.
- Record and reconcile payroll-related journal entries and processes.
- Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate cash activity recording.
- Maintain prepaid expense schedules and record amortization entries.
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and retirements.
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Operations, and payroll to ensure accurate financial results.
- Contribute to process improvements and help drive operational efficiencies.
- Support internal controls, accounting policy compliance, and process documentation efforts.
- Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Utilize ERP, reporting, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting processes.
- Partner closely with a Senior Accountant for guidance, review support, and ongoing development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 1-2 years of accounting or relevant experience, required.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth companies
- Experience in healthcare staffing, professional services, or similar industries
- Experience working with process automation, reporting, or AI-assisted accounting tools
- CPA Certified or CPA Candidate
